The TransPac is an innovative and versatile diving harness suitable for the most rugged diving conditions while maintaining absolute comfort. From comfortably cruising reefs, to penetrating wrecks and caves, the completely modular TransPac BC harness can be easily switched from single tanks to doubles, or even used with side-mounted tanks. Standard features include shoulder, waist and back plate D-rings; stainless waist belt buckle; dual shoulder releases; and Dive Rite's exclusive dual stainless cam buckle tank straps. The shoulder and waist D-ring positions are adjustable or can be removed entirely, and additional D-rings added for special needs. The TransWeight system along with a huge selection of pockets and other accessories can be easily mounted on the waist belt. Combine the TransPac with your choice of a wide range of air cells and you have a buoyancy control system that is built exactly the way you want it. Made in the USA, the TransPac harness is backed with the Dive Rite Lifetime Warranty.

Features

TransPac harnesses incorporate a number of features. Here are among the most important (the numbers refer to items identified in the illustration).

Tank adjustment strap helps you mount the TransPac harness on single cylinders at the same height each time.

Padded shoulder straps, available in several different lengths, provide comfortable fit.

Shoulder strap attachment point enables you to add or remove D-rings from shoulder strap.

Three 1.0-inch D-rings along each side of harness provide attachment points for light canisters, pony bottles and other equipment.

Self-closing "epaulet" on the left-hand shoulder strap helps you keep inflation hoses under control.

Grommetted mounting holes for doubles enable positioning of cylinders at any of three different heights.

Shoulder strap quick releases feature unique, "fail-safe" design.

Two-inch D-rings on each shoulder are adjustable for height and bent at a slight angle for better access. You may also add or remove D-rings from the shoulder-strap webbing.

Shoulder straps are easily adjustable for length.

Mounting slots for 2.0-inch tank straps (included with harness) enable use with single cylinders.

Two-inch D-rings on each side of waist strap are adjustable. Waist strap design enables easy mounting of pockets and other accessories. TransPacs also come with a stainless-steel, quick-release buckle.

Padded cummerbund helps transfer cylinder weight to hips for better fit and comfort.

Shoulder strap stabilizing plates, made from stainless steel, allow you to move the base of shoulder strap back and forth and fine tune the shoulder strap length for best fit and performance.

Lumbar support backpad and padded waist band transfer weight to hips.

Attachment point for optional crotch strap.

TransPac Sizing Updated
Dive Rite has updated their TransPac to offer improved sizing and adjustability. The new version TransPac has a new part number (T3000 series) and a new sizing chart. Each size has an adjustment range so you may tighten or loosen the shoulder straps and cummerbund as needed to provide a perfect fit. Dive Rite has also introduced Tall versions.

XS is suitable for very small women and most children. [ <90 lbs, <5 ft]

Small is suitable for small women and larger children.
Medium is suitable for average sized women, or shorter men.

Large is suitable for average sized men.

XL is suitable for larger divers or those with a muscular build.

XXL is suitable for divers over 220 lbs.

Tall versions are suitable for divers over 6 feet in height.
As a starting point for most people, consider what size t-shirt you normally wear. If you wear a mens Large T-shirt, then a Large TransPac is probably the best fit. If you wear a mens XL T-shirt, then choose an XL TransPac; and so on.

TransPac Harness Sizing

The TransPac harness is available in a wide range of sizes. While weight and height are a good starting point for determining your size, a perfect fit requires addtional information. Please carefully take the actual measurements explained below to make sure you select exactly the right size.

Shoulder to Waist Length -- To ensure proper shoulder strap length, measure from a point at the top of the shoulder to a point immediately below the waist, as shown in the accompanying diagram. Be sure to allow for exposure suit thickness.

Torso Length -- The Standard lumbar backpad and soft backplate is the size that most often fits average build men with back-of-neck measurements greater than 17 inches. XS/Small size TransPac harnesses come with Short lumbar backpads and soft backplates that are 2-inches shorter than those of larger TransPac harnesses. This is the preferred size for any diver whose back-of-neck to waist measurement is less than 17 inches (a range that includes most women). Dive Rite also offers Tall versions of the XL and XXL TransPac harnesses with Long lumber backpads and soft backplates that are 2-inches longer than the standard size. The Tall versions are for divers who are over 6 feet in height.

Waist -- TransPac harnesses come with a padded cummerbund whose length is adjustable across size range that is in proportion to the length of the shoulder strap. The top edge of correctly positioned cummerbund will just cover the navel, not rest on the hips.
