No larger than a standard dive watch, the Dive Rite NiTek Plus meets the need for a versatile time-keeping
device above water. Underwater, the NiTek Plus is an extremely advanced dive computer in a surprisingly small
package. The NiTek Plus is a user-friendly dive computer and wristwatch in one small, sophisticated package.
A Nitrox computer, the NiTek Plus turns on automatically upon descent and monitors up to two different gases.
Mix 1 is programmable for Nitrox mixes ranging from 21-50% and Mix 2 is programmable for Nitrox mixtures
ranging from 21-99%. Underwater, divers can switch between mixes with the push of a button. Upon surfacing,
the NiTek Plus will maintain the gas mixture entered until midnight, when it clears and must be reset the
following day. Using a modified Buhlmann ZH-L16 algorithm, the NiTek Plus can calculate decompression stop
times for required stops as deep as 90-feet.

Simple to program, the NiTek Plus has intuitive menus that are
easy to understand without complex instructions. Small and lightweight, the NiTek Plus is an ideal dive watch
and travel computer making it hard to forget your dive computer at home or lose it when traveling abroad.
Additional features include:
- Gas Mixtures -- The NiTek Plus can be set to monitor exposure to two different gas mixtures. Mix 1 is
settable for Nitrox mixtures ranging from 21% Oxygen (Air) to 50% Oxygen (Nitrox 50). Mix 2 is settable for
Nitrox mixtures ranging from 21% (Air) to 99% (essentially Oxygen).
-
Modes -- On the surface, the NiTek Plus offers a dive planning mode, a dive simulation mode, log mode,
and detailed log profile mode. Under water, it operates in your choice of two different modes: Gauge Mode and
standard Dive Computer mode. In Gauge mode, the NiTek Plus functions as a simple depth gauge and bottom timer.
In Dive Computer mode, the NiTek Plus displays the following dive mode information:
- Fraction of oxygen setting for Mix 1 and Mix 2
- Oxygen limit bar graph representing cumulative PO2 exposure ("CNS Clock")
- Actual partial pressure of oxygen (PPO2) for current mix and depth
- Residual nitrogen bar graph representing cumulative nitrogen absorption
- Current depth and maximum depth attained
- Elapsed time
- No-decompression time remaining
- Water temperature
-
Displays -- Also displayed in Dive Computer mode are the following indicators:
- Symbols indicating current mix setting (gas being breathed -- either Mix 1 or Mix 2)
- Symbol indicating Nitrox mode (In Air mode, no indicator appears.)
- Symbols indicating current water salinity setting (sea or fresh)
- Symbol indicating a Safety Stop including a 3-minute countdown (at 20 feet)
- Symbol indicating excessive ascent rate ("slow")
- Symbols indicating daily and/or hourly alarms have been set
- Units -- The NiTek Plus can be set to display data in either imperial or metric units.
- Altitude & Depth -- The NiTek Plus automatically adjusts for altitudes up to 19,680 feet, and is
capable of functioning at depths at deep as 328 feet in computer mode and 656 feet in gauge mode.
- Date & Time -- On the surface, the NiTek Plus constantly displays date and time in either standard
12-hour or 24-hour military formats. Additional features include hourly and daily alarms, and the ability to
display time from two different time zones.
- Safety Factor -- The NiTek Plus can be set with a choice of normal or conservative decompression
safety factor.
- Sampling -- The NiTek Plus can be set to track and record dive data in 15- or 30-second
intervals.
- Buttons -- The NiTek Plus uses easily accessible and highly reliable push buttons instead of exposed
electrical contacts.
- Lighting -- You can illuminate the NiTek Plus's screen by using its backlighting feature.
