Mastering Rebreathers

Mastering Rebreathers

Also published as "Understanding Rebreathers"
by Jeffrey E. Bozanic
Hardback, 548 Pages, richly illustrated
©2002 Best Publishing Company

Excerpted from the Preface and Overview:

"This text is designed to provide a comprehensive background on rebreathers -- what they do, how they operate, and what is involved in learning to dive them. The chapters cover types and history of rebreathers, theory as it pertains to different designs of units, pre-dive, dive and post-dive, and maintenance procedures for rebreathers, and emergency procedures used with rebreathers. It is not meant to stand alone as a user training program, but may be incorporated into a training program under the guidance of a certified rebreather instructor. We hope you find the information interesting. In many cases, it is unique among standard resources on the topic."

Mastering Rebreathers

IANTD CCR Skills Sheet Set

The International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers (IANTD) prepared these summaries of the CCR skills that are reviewed in all IANTD CCR courses. There are two sheets in the set, printed front and back. One sheet lists the various skills for confined water and the other sheet lists the skills and drills for open water. IANTD standards require CCR instructors to have these sheets and they are recommended equipment for CCR students. All CCR divers can benefit by using the sheets to periodically review and practice their CCR skills.

The waterproof flexible sheets are designed to accompany the diver on the dive and are easy to read underwater. They are nearly indestructible and can be rolled or folded into a compact size. They are printed on both sides of white waterproof fabric sheets using special flexible inks in black with blue highlighting. The same size as the IANTD waterproof tables, the sheets are 7-inch by 9-inch, have rounded corners and a punched hole so you can assemble several sheets into an easy-to-manage collection.
