DIN-to-Yoke Spin-on Adapter

DIN-to-Yoke Spin-On Adapter

Use this spin-on adapter to change any DIN fitting to mount on a yoke-type cylinder valve.

The Dive Rite DIN-to-yoke spin-on adapter is marked with a 232-Bar rating and features a nice sized handwheel to make it easy to operate. The black finish matches the Dive Rite regulators.

DIN Cap

Regulator DIN Cap

A protective cap for the DIN fitting on regulator first stages. The DIN cap has the following features:
  • Works with either 200- or 300-bar DIN fittings.
  • Designed to seal with the DIN O-ring to prevent moisture from entering.
  • Includes attachment lanyard.
  • Made from high-tech plastic that resists salt and sediment buildup, corrosion and damage from normal use.

Over-Pressure Relief Valve

In order to provide better insulation than their back gas, divers sometimes carry a small pony containing argon or air with just a first stage regulator and low-pressure drysuit inflator hose. However, with drysuit inflation systems there is no regulator second stage to provide relief should the high pressure seat fail. Without a way to relieve the pressure, the drysuit could begin inflating rapidly or the low-pressure hose could rupture. The over-pressure relief valve provides the same fail-safe function as a normal regulator second stage.
First Stage with OPV

The over-pressure relief valve screws into any available first-stage low-pressure port and is set to 220 psi (may be adjusted in the field to any value the user prefers).

Octopus Holder

Octopus Holder

Ideally, alternate air source (octopus) second stages are where you reach for them and are not dragging along the bottom. The simple, rugged, and reliable Dive Rite Octopus Holder keeps regulator second stages securely in place when not needed; yet releases them quickly in response to a firm tug.

  • The elastic shock band that encircles the second stage mouthpiece does a great job of holding on to the second stage when needed, yet releasing quickly when tugged.
  • The Dive Rite Octopus Retainer fits a wider variety of second stage mouthpieces than the plastic-dip-molded type. You don't have to fight to get a mouthpiece inside a Dive Rite octopus retainer -- only to see it mysteriously fall out later.
  • The low-profile, sliding-bolt snap helps keep overall "dangle" to a minimum. It enables you to move your extra second stage quickly from one accessory D-ring to another (something many divers do when suiting up or removing equipment). It also makes the octopus holder perfect for taming wild decompression or stage regulators.

Regulator Necklace

The regulator necklace is an increasingly popular method to manage your alternate air source. The necklace concept derives from technical divers that had a need to keep their back-up regulator close to their mouth for instant availability. The Manta Regulator Necklace is one piece molded from smooth, soft, durable, solid core, no-memory silicon rubber. It's negatively buoyant and perfectly designed to fit around a diver's neck, with or without a hood, keeping your auxiliary air source close.

Octopus Holder Manta is now offering the necklace in two sizes, Regular and Fat Head. The Regular size fits almost everyone correctly, because it is elastic. However, on rare occassions a few indivduals with very large necks or heads (Manta uses the term 'Fat Head', not us!) find the Regular size too small. Octopus Holder

A Trend in Regulator Configuration
The traditionally configured sport diver uses an 'octopus' regulator setup. Over time, many experienced divers have come to believe this configuration has significant problems. Key issues are that the second stage on a 40 " hose is annoying to reliably stow, causes unnecessary drag, is difficult and time consuming to deploy, and the hose is too short in a genuine emergency. Further, it's not unusual for the octopus to be clogged with silt or sand if not stowed carefully. All technical divers and many experienced sport divers now use a longer hose (60" or 84") for their primary regulator, and put the compact backup regulator on a short 22" hose hung on a necklace directly below their chin. In an emergency the primary regulator is donated in one hand while the backup regulator is instantly available as a replacement using the other hand. With a bit of practice, some divers have even perfected a skill that allows them to retrieve the backup regulator without using their hands at all!

Hose Clip Retainer

Hose Clip Retainer

The Dive Rite Hose Clip Retainer is a simple device to replace the need for cable ties, O-rings or cave line to attach clips to regulator and SPG hoses. Simply pass the bungee through the clip opening, around the hose, and over the tab. This connection is secure but can still be easily removed for reconfiguring.

2nd Stage Pocket

2nd Stage Pocket

The Dive Rite 2nd Stage Pocket can be used to protect the regulator of a staged cylinder. It can also be used as a shield to help avoid accidental deployment of a decompression regulator below its safe Maximum Operating Depth (MOD). To use, detach the second stage and route the LP hose through the slot in the bottom of the pocket. To deploy, pull the second stage out of the pocket, allowing the hose to slide through and leaving the pocket attached to the cylinder.
2nd Stage Pocket
The pocket flap uses a velco closure and has a 1-inch stainless steel d-ring on the back that can be attached to cylinder stage strap neck clip using a double-ended snap or a quick link. If you prefer, it can also be mounted in a variety of positions using the 2nd stage pockets unique H pattern belt loops by adding a tank strap.

Intermediate Pressure Gauge

Intermediate Pressure Check Gauge

Most regulators, including those from Dive Rite, should have an intermediate pressure of about 140 psig. When diagnosing regulator problems, it's often very helpful to know if the IP is out-of-range. Slightly out-of-range values typically indicate the need for just a simple IP adjustment to compensate for wear. Significantly out-of-range values, particularly with "creep," often indicate a more serious impending high-pressure seat failure. Slow recovery time can indicate a clogged inlet filter.

The compact 1.5-inch diameter, ultra-lightweight, intermediate-pressure gauge is ready to go with you anywhere. Perfect for helping diagnose problems in the field, it plugs into any standard BC low-pressure inflator hose.

Intermediate Pressure Gauge

Deluxe IP Gauge

Quickly check and adjust regulator intermediate pressures by plugging in to the low-pressure QD BC hose. The Deluxe IP Check Gauge makes precise IP adjustment faster with easy to use bleed (twist in either direction) that gives a quick vent and an over-pressure relief valve set at 200 psi. The large 2-inch diameter gauge has a protective rubber boot and dual scales with accuracy of 1.5% throughout the entire range.
