We stock a complete inventory of VR3 spare parts. All parts are individually orderable or consider purchasing our exclusive VR3 Deluxe Spares Kit that includes all of the commonly requested replacement items: I/O Port Cap, Battery Cap w/spring and O-rings, Battery Cap Tool, Wrist Strap Pin, Complete Switch Set with springs and C-clips (for VR3's manufactured after May 2003), and a extra Saft 3.6V AA Lithium Battery.

We also stock a complete inventory of replacement cables with the 7-pin Fischer I/O Port connector (for VR3's manufactured after May 2003). Note spare cables are intended as a replacement for an existing cable which has been lost or damaged and as such do not include feature activation PIN's or other accessories.

VR3 Replacement Battery

We recommend the Saft LST14500 3.6V R6/AA lithium battery for the VR3. Saft is the world leader in the manufacture of primary lithium batteries. The Saft LST14500 battery is rated at 2.45 Ah and offers the best performance under the widest conditions with the longest service life at the most cost effective price. The LST14500 is UL-recognized,and it's R6/AA size has no transport restrictions. The new LST version is a very slightly smaller diameter that fits perfectly well within the VR3 battery cap, you do NOT need to trim the end.

The VR3 Operators Manual recommends replacement of the two battery door O-rings every ten battery changes, or whenever the O-rings appear damaged or worn. They should be sparingly lubricated. Note the instructions in the VR3 Operators Manual page 7 regarding battery replacement.

We recommend using a high capacity Saft Lithium 3.6V battery as offering the longest life in the widest range of conditions with your VR3, but any disposable Alkaline, Lithium or even rechargeable AA size battery between 1.5 and 3.6 volts will work in a pinch. Because of variations among battery manufacturers, some AA size batteries are a tight fit inside the battery cap of some VR3s. (Note our new LST14500 does NOT have this problem.) Stripping the plastic cover from the negative end of these slightly larger AA batteries solves the problem.

DeoxIT® GOLD Contact Conditioner

DeoxIT GOLD is also excellent for maintaining the electrical contacts of the Delta P Technologies VR3 battery contacts, I/O port and cable. DeoxIT® GOLD (formerly known as ProGold) was developed by Caig Laboratories for the aerospace industries and is especially well suited to critical low current applications. DeoxIT GOLD is a unique conditioning agent that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection. DeoxIT GOLD is designed to dissolve small amounts of oxidation, and suitable for delicate gold plated contacts and connections where only slight cleaning action is appropriate. DeoxIT GOLD is non-abrasive, non-corrosive, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.

We offer DeoxIT GOLD GN5 in a 14g mini-spray 5% solution with non-drip applicator (approximately 75+ applications when used as directed), a convenient quantity and package for use with your rebreather. The GN5 spray formulation contains no petroleum distillates and is quick-dry, non-flammable and safe for plastics. We also recommend DeoxIT Gold GN5 for periodic cleaning and conditioning of the battery contacts and sensor connectors in rebreathers.
